Update on “new communication guidelines” of positive Covid-19 students and employees of Lincolnview Local Schools (1-19-21)

The Lincolnview Local Schools would like to inform the Lincolnview parents, students, and community that the district will continue to update the Lincolnview Local School’s website with the most up-to-date information regarding positive Covid-19 students and employees, as well as, the student Covid-19 data that is located under the tab “Covid-19 Information.”  However, as we continue to move forward in dealing with Covid-19 the district has decided that we will no longer send out a Lancer text alert to inform you of every student or employee with a positive case of Covid-19.  We are excited that the Covid-19 vaccinations will soon be administered to all Lincolnview employees who want the vaccination, as well those in Van Wert County.  We are also pleased with the new K-12 school “Quarantine Guidelines” (see below) that was recently passed.  Our Covid-19 numbers have vastly improved since the winter holidays and so has our quarantine numbers. We are looking forward in continuing to have school each day face-to-face from now until our last day of school, which is May 21st, provided no changes at the state level or with our local health department. If any one has any questions please do not hesitate to call the Lincolnview district office at (419)-968-2226.

New K-12 School Quarantine Guidelines (1-12-2021)

New K-12 School Quarantine Guidelines (1-12-2021)

The Lincolnview Local Schools would like to inform Lincolnview parents, students, and community that there has been a small minor change from the Ohio Department of Health regarding “K-12 School Quarantine Guidelines.”  As Governor Mike DeWine continues to move towards more schools operating with in-school instruction, K-12 quarantine guidelines have been changed in attempt to keep more students in school on a daily basis, while looking at student health data to help make this decision.

Updated guidelines from the Ohio Department of Health:

“If a student or teacher is exposed in the classroom setting to someone with COVID-19, quarantine is not recommended for the exposed individual as long as masking and other appropriate protocols were followed.”

“Quarantine continues to be advised for anyone who is exposed in the classroom if protocols have not been followed (e.g., students or adults in the classroom did not properly wear masks).”

Therefore, we will continue wearing masks and also directing students to do the same, as well as, proper hand sanitizing and trying to maximize social distancing.  With this new change in guidelines from the Ohio Department of Health we should have less number of students out of the building quarantining if we do our part of masking up, washing up, and backing up.

PLEASE read the attached document from the Ohio Department of health for more information.

Press release: Lincolnview Local Schools – “Community Center” (1-19-2021)

The Lincolnview Local Schools would like to inform the Lincolnview parents and community that starting on Monday, January 25, 2021, the Lincolnview Community Center will be open again at its previous scheduled hours of 5am – Midnight (7-days a week).  Members of the Lincolnview Community Center will still have to wear masks as they enter and exit the facility.  Please continue to practice social distancing and using hand sanitizer stations throughout the facility.  Also, please remember to use the wipes to sanitize the equipment prior and after use.

In addition, due to the challenges that the Covid-19 pandemic has brought to our Lancer community this year, the Lincolnview Board of Education & Administration has decided to waive all renewals of fobs for the 2020-21 year.  If you already renewed your fob recently, the renewal membership will be effective for the 2021-2022.  We will still process any NEW fobs in the Lincolnview District office.  We are planning to continue our fob fee renewal again this summer (July 2021) for the 2021-22 year, so please look for more information regarding this in June.  If anyone has any questions please call the district office at (419)-968-2226.
